Drawing from educational research and extensive consultation with our community, last term Loreto Normanhurst launched our 'continuous reporting' approach from across Years 5 to 10. 

Led by our Director of Learning, Ms Kieryn Bateman, and Learning team, this program provides what the Australian Financial Review labelled a "radical overhaul" to assessment structure and student feedback methods, with a view, according to Ms Bateman, to facilitating student growth and the active involvement of parents in their daughter's education. 'Continuous reporting' responds to the call for education to be flexible and future-focused, as well as aligned with the rapidly changing global landscapes for which we're preparing our students.

As part of the shift, parents have been granted access to student learning management systems to allow greater insight and engagement in their daughter's growth. Students will be provided meaningful teacher feedback on regular assessments as they unfold, encouraging an ongoing approach to evaluation and goal-setting.

Continuous reporting supplements our existing strategies for holistic student development and parent partnership, including regular 1:1 Conversations between students and tutors, Holistic Plenaries between staff, students and families, and our 'It Takes a Village' parent education and engagement program.
